Terms of service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a LocalPilot package. They are written to be easy to read. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@localpilot.co.uk before you sign up.
1. Who we are
LocalPilot is a trading name of Jack Simpson, a sole trader based in England. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean LocalPilot, and “you” means the business buying our services.
2. Our services are for businesses
Our packages are for businesses, sole traders and organisations buying for business purposes. By signing up, you confirm that you are buying for your business and that you are authorised to manage its Google Business Profile.
3. Our packages
We offer two monthly packages, Takeoff and Cruise. What each package includes is described on our Pricing page at the time you sign up. We may improve our packages over time, but we will not remove anything you are paying for without telling you first.
4. Payment and billing
- Packages are paid monthly in advance by card or another method shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Your first payment is taken when you sign up. After that, you are billed automatically on the same date each month.
- A receipt is emailed to you after every payment.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
- If a payment fails, we will try again and let you know. If it still has not gone through after 14 days, we may pause your service until it is paid.
5. Getting started
After you pay, we will ask you to complete a short onboarding form and add LocalPilot as a Manager on your Google Business Profile. We start work as soon as we have access. Please give us access promptly, as your billing month starts on the day you pay. If you have any trouble adding us, reply to our welcome email and we will help.
6. If we cannot manage your profile
Some profiles cannot be managed in the normal way, for example if a profile is suspended, cannot be verified, or does not meet Google’s guidelines. If we find this within 14 days of your first payment, we will explain why, cancel your subscription and refund your first payment in full.
7. Your profile stays yours
- You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile at all times. We only ask to be added as a Manager, never as an owner.
- You can remove our access at any time. When your service ends, we will remove ourselves from your profile.
- Posts, photos and other content we create for your profile are yours to keep.
8. What we ask of you
- Give us accurate information about your business, and tell us when something changes, such as your opening hours or services.
- Reply to our questions when we need information to complete work for you.
- Do not ask us to do anything that breaks Google’s guidelines or the law. For example, we will never write fake reviews, offer incentives for reviews or post misleading information.
9. What we can and cannot promise
We will carry out the work in your package with reasonable care and skill, in line with Google’s guidelines. However, Google decides how profiles rank and can change its systems at any time, so we cannot guarantee specific rankings, enquiries or results. We are also not responsible for decisions Google makes about your profile that are outside our control.
10. Cancelling
- There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time using the “Manage subscription” link in your receipt emails, or by emailing hello@localpilot.co.uk.
- When you cancel, no further payments are taken. Your service continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then stops.
- We do not give partial refunds for the rest of a month you have paid for, because your service continues until the end of it.
- For example, if you are billed on the 10th of each month and cancel on the 20th, we will keep working on your profile until the 9th of the following month, and you will not be charged again.
11. Changing your package
You can move between Takeoff and Cruise at any time by emailing us. The change takes effect from your next billing date, and your new price applies from then.
12. Price changes
If we change our prices, we will email you at least 30 days before the change affects you. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before then.
13. If we end the service
We may end your service if payment is not made, if you ask us to break Google’s guidelines or the law, or if you are abusive towards us. We will give you notice where we reasonably can. If we end the service for any other reason, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any payment for time after your service ends.
14. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
15. Your information
We use your information as described in our privacy policy.
16. Changes to these terms and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
